It seems like a silly question doesn’t it? So you can live longer, so you can be leaner, or so you can have a stronger heart right? These are all great effects of getting more movement. But does it really do much to motivate us to get more movement? So… why should you get healthy?
Health Is More Than Improving Health Markers
I think it’s better to look at these health marker improvements as side bonuses. I think there are better ways to motivate yourself to add more movement to your day! I’m a big fan of looking at the real tangible benefits of a more active lifestyle. These are things like playing with your kids, pick-up games of sports with friends, or just not being so tired at the end of the day.
Don’t worry! All those other benefits will happen too, but the other things I mentioned are real noticeable quality of life improvements. If you focus on improving your quality of life, the other stuff will just follow!
